Gerddi Bluog Herd

The 'Gerddi Bluog Herd' was established in 2001, with four breeding females from the 'Gerddi Herd'. The cattle are kept on a 32 acre small holding 3 miles away from the main holding, and are also all out-wintered.

The 'Gerddi Bluog Herd' won the Welsh Black Cattle Society Small Herd of the Year in 2007.

In 2008 I was chosen as the Welsh Black Cattle Society Young Ambassador. During my time as Ambassador I was fortunate enough to win a Scholarship with Hybu Cig Cymru which contributed towards me travelling to Australia to the 2nd Welsh Black Cattle World Conference and tour of the Welsh Black Herds in Australia.

The report from the trip can be found via the link below to the Hybu Cig Cymru.
